Rushcliffe  –  A member of ‘The 1909 Club’

The 1909 Club was established in 2008 by an association of golf clubs who will each be celebrating their centenary in 2009. The objective of The 1909 Club is to afford the membership of all participating golf clubs courtesy of each others courses from 2009 onwards.

At a meeting held at Rushcliffe Golf Club on April 24th 2008 a ‘Code Of Practice’ was adopted to apply to all participating golf clubs. This code outlines the criteria for membership and the procedure to follow to enquire of the availability, and booking of, tee times for visiting members. It should be stressed that all enquiries must be made through the respective clubs’ secretaries and not by personal contact.

These member clubs look forward to welcoming their fellow members of The 1909 Club and send their best wishes for 2009 and to successful celebration of their centenary year.

Arrangements for visiting golfers is to be made at a local level. However the general administration of The 1909 Club is being dealt with by Geoff Evans of The Rushcliffe Golf Club and whose e mail address is given at the foot of the page. If you are aware of any other club who will be celebrating their centenary in 2009 whose name does not appear on the list above and they wish to join our association, please ask them to contact Geoff Evans direct.
